Students will continue to work in i-Ready and are responsible for completing 2 assignments per week.  If students do not complete lessons in class they must continue working at home to meet the requirement.

Students must inform me if they complete late work or the i-Ready extra credit.  If they do not let me know that it is completed it will not be entered into Focus.

Algebra

Test recycling is due March 6-7 for Section 5.  Here are the instructions for recycling that students brought home with them.

Algebra Section 5 Recycle

Correction:  Students must correctly work all problems that are incorrect. The problems should be numbered and all work must be shown in a neat and legible manner.

Error Analysis:  Students must explain why they got the question wrong on the original test. 

Honor Statement: Students must write the following on their corrected work.  I pledge on my honor that I have not given or received any assistance on this assignment. 

Students may use notes, algebra nation, or Pearson text, but you must do the work yourself.

Parent Signature: Parents must sign your original test which must be turned in with the corrections.

Completed Homework: Students may not recycle if they have not completed the homework including the study guide for section 5.  Independent Practice homework must be turned in with test corrections.

Due Date: Corrected test questions, original test and independent practices must be turned in before Tuesday, March 7th.

HOMEWORK

Take home test on quadratic functions.  Students may use their curriculum resources but must complete the test on their own with a parent signature confirming it is their own work. TEST IS DUE MARCH 13TH, BUT STUDENTS CAN EARN 5 FREE BONUS POINTS BY TURNING IN BY FRIDAY, THE 10TH.

All i-Ready assignments are also due by March 13th including any extra credit work.

 Recycling make up days for the systems of equations test will be Tuesday 2/21 and Thursday 2/23 from 3:15 to 4:15 pm.  Students do not have to sign up ahead of time for these recycling days. They should report to the cafeteria after school and they will be picked up at 3:15.

 Reminder: students may not recycle unless all past due work is completed including the reassigned study guide in Math XL.

1. Complete Section 5 Topic 8 in Algebra Nation workbook. Turn in the derivation of the quadratic formula on a separate sheet of paper. I have worksheets that can be completed for this part. Bonus points will be added to test. Due 2/17/16.

2. Complete Section 5 Test Yourself in Algebra Nation.  Due 2/20/16.  All work MUST BE SHOWN and turned in to receive extra credit.  Bonus points will be added to test grade.

Extra credit will not be accepted late.

Students that do not have all homework pertaining to Section 4 will NOT BE ELIGIBLE for recycling. These assignments include: Math XL Linear Functions, Systems of Equations & Inequalities, Study Guide Linear Functions, and Algebra Nation Section 4 Test Yourself. 

Test Recycling will occur February 14th & 16th from 3:15 - 4:15 during tutoring hours. Students must sign up ahead of time for the day they choose to attend.

Tutoring on February 9th will continue to be test review.

Tutoring this Thursday will be to go over the Section 4 Test. We will not have time to do this during class.
